Terms of Use

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of eventsure.ca and the online quoting, purchase and policy administration services offered through it (the “Service”). The Service is operated for customers located in Canada. By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the site.

1. Who we are and what the Service does

EventSure is an online distribution platform for event, host and vendor liability insurance. We provide quotes, issue policies and certificates of insurance, and administer claims and cancellations on behalf of the licensed insurers that underwrite the coverage. EventSure is not the insurer: your contract of insurance is with the underwriting insurer identified in your policy documents.

2. Coverage and binding

Coverage takes effect only upon successful payment and delivery of your certificate of insurance, and is subject to the policy wording, conditions and exclusions delivered with it. Your certificate of insurance is evidence of the coverage in force under the policy issued by the underwriting insurer named in your documents.

3. Eligibility and accurate information

You may use the Service only where the product is offered in your province or territory. You agree that all information you provide — about yourself, your business, your event, your venue and any prior claims — is true, complete and accurate. Providing false or misleading information may void coverage, delay claims, or result in cancellation of your policy by the insurer.

4. Quotes and premiums

A quote is an estimate of premium based on the information you provide and is not an offer of insurance. Premiums, taxes and any applicable discounts are confirmed at the point of purchase. Unpurchased quotes expire and are deleted in accordance with the retention periods in our Privacy Policy.

5. Your account

Access to the customer portal is provided through a passwordless sign-in link sent to your email address. You are responsible for maintaining control of that email account and for all activity under your portal account. We recommend enabling multi-factor authentication in your portal security settings. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misrepresent your identity, your event, or your insurance needs;
  • interfere with the Service, probe its security, or access data belonging to others;
  • use automated means to extract content or submit bulk requests; or
  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose.

We may suspend access where we reasonably suspect fraud, abuse or a security risk.

7. Your information and privacy

We collect only the information needed to quote, issue and administer your coverage, and we share it with the insurer, with any venue or organizer you name on your certificate, and with the service providers who process payments and send your documents. We do not sell your information. Full details — including retention periods, your rights of access and deletion, and our breach response commitments — are in our Privacy Policy.

Privacy questions, access requests and deletion requests: privacy@eventsure.ca. Our Privacy Officer responds within 30 days.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers for payment processing, email delivery, address lookup, hosting and data storage. Their handling of information is described in our Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for the availability of third-party services, but we select and monitor providers that meet our security and privacy requirements.

9. Intellectual property

The EventSure name, site design, illustrations and content are our property or used under licence. You may view and download content for your personal insurance purposes only.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing on this site is insurance, legal or financial advice; coverage questions are governed by the policy wording issued to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability arising from your use of the site (excluding the obligations of the insurer under an issued policy) is limited to the fees you paid us, if any, for the transaction giving rise to the claim.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there. Your policy of insurance is governed by the law stated in the policy.

12. Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time and will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance.
